Itinerary

Welcome to Tanzania! On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a representative and transferred to the secluded Arusha Coffee Lodge, hidden amongst one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations. This is a perfect haven to get settled before the start of your African safari. You will have a chance to stretch your legs on a coffee tour around the estate where you will learn about the production of their indulgent coffee before deciding on whether to visit one of the nearby Masaai markets to buy some local material or taking tea in the garden terrace or by the enclosed pool. Overnight: Arusha Coffee Lodge
Wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and an indulgent breakfast. Finish off your morning with one of the activities you didn’t have a chance to tick off the day before. An al fresco lunch will be served before your flight to Tarangire – the land of elephants. Your next two nights will be spent up in the trees in an enchanting luxury treehouse with incredible views of the Tarangire plains beyond. Your afternoon will kick off with a game drive in Tarangire National Park in search of migrating wildebeest, cheetah sitting atop a termite mound, grazing buffalo, long-necked gerenuk or one of 550 bird species that inhabit the park. Round off the day with sundowners on Sunset Hill as you toast elephants in the distance. A traditional Masaai dinner around the campfire under the stars sets you up for a peaceful night. Over the next day, there will be opportunity for a Masaai village tour, a night game drive - allowing you the rare opportunity to see the bush come alive with different animals - and a walking safari on foot. Tarangire has the largest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem and is brimming with predators, plains game and 300 herds elephants, ensuring your wildlife safari starts off with a bang. Overnight: Tarangire Treetops
Wake ‘up-in-the-air’ in your treehouse to a delicious breakfast. An early morning game drive or walk will provide you with the best chance of catching the first golden light for photographing wildlife and seeing game. En route to Manyara Airstrip you will take a leisurely picnic lunch. You will arrive at The Manor at Ngorongoro in time for high tea and some relaxation time. The next day will focus on exploring the Ngorongoro Crater – a cauldron of wildlife and action – with a picnic lunch in between. The game viewing is truly incredible in the crater, and the topography and views of the surrounding Highlands out of this world. Get the chance of ticking off black rhino, buffalo, flamingo, Masaai warriors with their herds and hippo from your list. You will arrive back at The Manor in the late afternoon where a cozy dinner will be served. Overnight: The Manor at Ngorongoro
You will be able to decide how you would like your morning to unfold with a choice of visiting scenic Lake Manyara or opting for one of the activities at The Manor such as a gentle horse ride or a guided tour of the estate. After a delicious lunch you will take a short 45-minute flight to the enchanting Serengeti – the land of endless plains. Located in prime, high-action game viewing areas, your tented camp is ideally situated at the heart of the reserve where plentiful game sightings can be easily found. Spend the next two days heading out on foot on guided walking safaris in the park, taking game drives in search of the annual wildebeest migration and toasting breathtaking sunsets. You will have a chance to completely unwind at your luxury camp where luxury furnishings, beautifully appointed and decorated dining tables and friendly hosts await to make you feel right at home in this African paradise. Overnight: Serengeti Pioneer / Migration Camp
After breakfast you will take your flight back to Arusha for your onward flight to Zanzibar Island, where you will spend the next four nights. The Spice Island of Zanzibar will welcome you with palm-fringed beaches, friendly hospitality and luxurious ocean view accommodation at Kilindi. Set in lush gardens, your private suite, with incredible ocean views and plunge pool, is a haven for relaxation. Your own private butler will provide you with daily dining and activity options and be on standby to assist with your requests. Spend your day snorkelling the azure waters for brightly coloured corals and fish, sip cocktails by the pool or visit historical Stone Town for shopping and spices. End your day with a sunset dhow cruise and dinner under the stars. A perfect end to an incredible safari. Overnight: Kilindi Zanzibar
After breakfast you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport in time for your onward arrangements or flight.
