Itinerary

Your tour starts at 11am with the collection of guests from the Zimbabwe border and onto Kasane to meet any other guests at 12.30pm. You will head out on an afternoon game drive in the famous Chobe National Park. The park is teeming with game like lion, hippo, buffalo, wild dog, sable, crocodile and of course mega-herds of elephant. For guests arriving early, a Chobe boat cruise (additional cost) can also be arranged before the tour starts. Camp will be set up on the Chobe riverfront.

Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, the tour will head to Savute, with a chance of spotting game on the 4-6 hour drive. You’ll drive via the village of Kachikau and then take the 4×4 tracks through the Chobe Forest Reserve via Gcoha Gate. On arrival you will prepare lunch in Savute. A wonderful feature of the area are the hills that dominate the landscape and are home to a few San Bushmen paintings - easily accessible on your afternoon game drive. A healthy population of leopard live in the hills, with the best time to see them at dusk or dawn. The Savute Marsh is a paradise for birds and animals. Camping in Savute.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Today you will depart Savute and drive to Moremi Game Reserve (4-5 hours). Local conditions will dictate your arrival time in Moremi, with a well-deserved lunch served. The afternoon will be spent on a game drive. Moremi area is one of the most beautiful and varied reserves found on the African continent with a huge diversity of wildlife and incredibly beautiful scenery. The campsite for the night will be in the Moremi Game Reserve or the surrounding community managed wildlife management area. Camping in Moremi.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
An early morning start will see the safari pack up and head to Maun, with a game drive en-route. You will stop in Moremi Game Reserve for a picnic lunch, arriving in Maun mid to late afternoon. Camping in Maun.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Today venture out into the Okavango Delta in search of game. You will take a mokoro (dug-out canoe) trip through the many channels and waterways. Your local poler will punt you through the water as you sit back and relax. The Delta is a huge inland water system dotted with thousands of islands that are a haven for a diverse array of wildlife. This is a unique environment where dry land and water collides. You will spend 3-4 hours in the delta and return to Maun between 2-3pm. Optional activities include a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta in a fixed-wing aeroplane or helicopter. Alternatively, a horse ride can be arranged. A scenic flight is highly recommended as it gives you a bird’s eye view of the Okavango Delta. Camping in Maun.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
After breakfast, head to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans - vast shimmering salt flats on the edge of the Kalahari basin. The drive is approximately 4-6 hours. Makgadikgadi changes according to the seasons. The annual zebra migration usually starts around the end of November, great birding from Nov-March, with big flocks of flamingoes and incredible game viewing from April-October along the Boteti River. You may also explore Nxai Pan. The last night is spent sleeping out under a blanket of stars. Camping in Makgadikgadi.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Today you will depart back to Kasane, via Nata, which is approximately a 4-6 hour drive. You will pass through the agricultural area known as Pandamatenga, which is the only crop-producing area in Botswana. Look out for elephant and sable antelope between Pandamatenga and Kasane. Your tour will finish around 1pm.
