With luxury water villas perched over the Chobe River, boasting 180-degree views of the river and the famous Sedudu Island, you’ll have a prime base from which to explore this exciting ecosystem. Located at the eastern tip of the famous Caprivi Strip, on the Namibia side of the Chobe River, the lodge has prime access to the river and Chobe National Park. Chobe is home to one of the largest number of elephant in the region, making for easy and exciting sightings of this massive animal. Frequent river crossings by elephant are often made, and the sheer numbers congretated along the river banks make for foolproof photographic moments. Guests will have three days to embark on the daily river safaris and game drives on offer, which will showcase the incredible diversity of game. This includes some 164 mammal species like buffalo, crocodile, hippo, lion, zebra and giraffe, and more unusual species like lechwe, sable, waterbuck and puku: which make frequent appearances in this scenic ecosystem.

Today you enjoy a final game drive and breakfast before departing for Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. From there you will fly to Johannesburg for your flight home.
On arrival into Kasane, you will take a short 20-minute road/ water transfer to your lodge, overlooking Sedudu Island. The lodge is designed in such a way to create a natural flow between the main bar, lounge and lodge areas and the private water villas. You will find it hard to leave the confines of your villa which boasts a large private deck with easy chairs and a 180-degree view of the Chobe River. Every day you’ll have a choice of two game activities: one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, broken by a lazy lunch and siesta time in between. Depending on your arrival time on day one, you will be welcomed to lunch or high tea. After checking in and and a chance to freshen up, you’ll head out on your first game activity. Sundowners will be served on the river, most often than not, to a glowing sunset display of orange and red tinted skies. A traditional dinner will be served under the twinkling stars as you reminisce on the day’s events. Mornings are a great time to go on game drives in the Chobe National Park, when it’s still cool and game is moving about. The lighting is also ideal for photography. After breakfast, you will take your flight from Cape Town to Skukuza Airport. A representative will transfer you from Skukuza to your lodge in the Big-5 Sabi Sands Game Reserve, bordering the Kruger National Park. There are no fences between the reserves, allowing for the free flow of animals between these areas. You will check into your luxury lodge and into your private suite. Over the next couple of days, you will explore this game-rich area on morning and afternoon game drives for animals like leopard, wild dog, rhino and giraffe. With scenic riverine areas, sandy grasslands and savannah bush, the Sabi Sands offers a diverse landscape – adding to the beauty of this wilderness area. Guided nature walks are also offered for those wanting to get a little ‘down to earth’. Back at your lodge, gourmet meals, divine cocktails and pampering spa treatments can all be enjoyed together with luxurious suites and lounge areas. Crackling campfires and the evening calls of animals will lull you to sleep as you awake to another adventurous day in the African wild. Overnight: Lion Sands / similar
After a delicious breakfast serenaded by the nearby wildlife and your morning game activity (time allowing), you will take your boat/road transfer back to Kasane International Airport in time for your onward arrangements or flight.
Over the next two days, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the Mother City of Cape Town and the surrounding local areas. Some top attractions include taking a cable car up to the top of Table Mountain, taking a historic boat trip and tour of Robben Island where former President Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, drinking wines and champagne at one of the surrounding vineyards or photographing penguins at Boulders Beach. During the evenings, you can indulge in excellent cuisine at one of the many restaurants in town. Overnight: More Quarters Hotel / similar
Today you will arrive at Cape Town International Airport and make your way to your hotel. For those who prefer a self-drive option, you can collect your rental car at the airport and drive yourself to the hotel, or you can take a taxi and we can have your rental car delivered to your hotel. Either way, we will make all your transport and activity arrangements for you. The Luxury Traveler recommends you hire a car, as this will give you more freedom to explore the sights of Cape Town and its surrounds at your own pace. Once settled in, you can relax at your hotel and pick from one of the top local restaurants for a lovely lunch or dinner. This will also be a good time to decide on any activities you would like to do over the next couple of days. Overnight: More Quarters Hotel / similar
